Move over, milk tea－there’s a new favorite snack in town! Monga’s famous 2-inch thick, Taiwanese-style fried chicken has finally made its way to the Philippines.
In November 2019, The Vikings Group launched Monga’s first Philippine branch in SM Megamall with Taiwanese comedian and the owner himself, Nono. Team Storyscope invited food and lifestyle media, as well as food bloggers, to spark public interest and further create buzz on the opening.
Our strategy, which included organic social media marketing, relied heavily on our partner media and bloggers and their real-time stories and updates on their respective online platforms. Add on Monga’s opening day deals up for grabs, it was more than enough for employees from nearby offices and mall passers-by to get in line as soon as the clock struck 12.
As an additional post-event PR support, we sent out print and online releases to media publications.
